Assessing non-academic learning objectives -Round Table


Assessment can be tricky. This is especially the case when we are assessing things like intercultural competence, authentic engagement, and social-emotional learning. In this roundtable discussion, we will grapple with the question of how to compassionately and honestly assess students on non-academic learning objectives. We will also share strategies based on personal successes and challenges in our own classrooms with assessing the “un-assessable” curriculum. This discussion is an opportunity to explore options, generate ideas, and be creative! You will walk away with some new ideas and hopefully a lot of inspiration.
